Datasite Recognized as Singapore Business Review’s Technology Excellence Award Winner for Fintech – Mergers & Acquisitions

M&A leader cited for innovative technology streamlining the dealmaking process

Minneapolis, Minn. – April 26 – Datasite®, a leading SaaS-based technology provider for global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) professionals, today announced that it has been recognized as the 2021 Technology Excellence Award Winner for Fintech – Mergers & Acquisitions by the Singapore Business Review (SBR).

Datasite was selected by SBR for its use of new, innovative technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP), in its platform and applications. For example, Datasite Prepare™ uses AI and NLP to automate time-consuming activities involved in managing M&A, such as organizing and preparing files needed for review by potential investors or purchasers. Datasite Diligence™ reduces the time it takes to prepare confidential documents for M&A transactions by 60%, and cuts in half the time it takes to redact and un-redact documents with improved accuracy and security, increasing deal efficiency and regulatory compliance.

“We’re delighted to be recognized by SBR for streamlining all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including preparing or marketing a deal, conducting due diligence or completing integration,” said Thomas Fredell, Chief Product Officer for Datasite. “Our AI-enabled features and applications have significantly reduced some of the more time-consuming, repetitive tasks required in managing M&A, providing customers with as much as a 40% reduction in effort and cycle time and better deal outcomes.”

The company’s other applications include Datasite Outreach™, which improves the efficiency and speed of the asset marketing process, and Datasite Acquire™ , which provides buy-side teams with one secure place to execute M&A due diligence, reducing deal times and sharpening oversight for stakeholders.

Dealmakers in more than 170 countries, including Singapore, manage their deals using Datasite. In 2020, Datasite facilitated several initial public offerings by Southeast Asia unicorns and one of Singapore's largest deals. Datasite facilitates close to 10,000 deals annually, and works with all the top 20 global financial advisory firms and 74 of the top 100 global legal firms.

In addition to the award by SBR, Datasite was recognized earlier this year as a BIG Innovation Award Winner and, in 2020, was honored with the Hong Kong and China Technology Excellence Awards.
