Deal Drivers: APAC Q1 2021

In partnership with Mergermarket

The APAC region began 2021 in a hopeful mood, with the COVID-19 virus largely in retreat and optimism about the prospects of economic recovery.

For many parts of the region, that recovery began in H2 2020, with the bounce-back in M&A markets particularly buoyant. Deal values more than doubled from H1 2020, and there was a marked acceleration in deal volumes in Q4.

Recovery in dealmaking continued in Q1, with many parts of APAC logging stronger figures than in the same periods in 2020 and 2019.
