Despite facing uncertainty through the COVID-19 crisis, EMEA M&A markets proved resilient in 2020: deal value only fell by 1% to €835.3bn from 2019, although deal volumes saw a steeper decline of 15%. The top end of the market was especially active, with 28 deals worth €5bn or more, compared to only 16 the year before.
