MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – July 8, 2021 – Datasite®, a leading SaaS-based technology provider for global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) professionals, has once again been named to Selling Power’s annual ‘50 Best Companies to Sell For’ list, moving up to second place this year from third place in 2020. This is the company’s fifth straight year to be included on the list.
“It’s always a tremendous honor to be recognized as a top company by Selling Power,” said Todd Albright, worldwide chief revenue officer for Datasite. “With strong support from our customer service, product, marketing and other business partners, our sales organization continues to help our clients achieve successful outcomes across the entire deal life cycle. An award like this one further solidifies Datasite's leadership as the place where deals are made.”
To assemble this year’s 50 Best list, Selling Power reviewed four main categories: compensation and benefits; sales culture; onboarding and sales enablement strategies; and sales training and coaching. Most of the companies featured on the list invested in and offered thorough training specific to virtual selling in response to the pandemic.
In addition to being recognized for its benefits and compensation, sales culture and coaching, Datasite was praised for its innovative sales enablement and training to sell and deliver engaging client demonstrations remotely.
Selling Power magazine founder and publisher Gerhard Gschwandtner said, “The companies who earned a spot on this year’s list have truly world-class sales organizations. In addition to providing superior onboarding and ongoing sales training, they quickly pivoted their strategy to give their sales reps the tools and skills they needed to succeed in today’s digital, remote selling environment.”
Despite the challenges of last year, including working wholly remotely, Datasite has continued to achieve strong growth. This year, the company increased its overall headcount by 14% and hired multiple new sales professionals worldwide, while opening offices in Stockholm and Los Angeles, and launching local data hosting in Australia. Additionally, between FY2019 and FY2021, Datasite’s revenue increased by 37%, as it facilitated nearly 10,000 deals annually, including half of the top 10 biggest M&A deals in the United States.
Dealmakers in more than 170 countries make their deals in Datasite, including 74 of the top 100 legal firms, all the top 20 global financial advisory firms.
