Yet, despite an increasingly global conflict in Ukraine and pressing economic factors, 347 deals were announced in the Nordics in the first quarter of 2022 – a 15% increase compared to the final quarter of 2021 – showing there is still keen appetite.

Barbara Fiorini Due is the General Counsel of Novo Holdings A/S and member of the Leadership Team. In her role, she is overall responsible for handling the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal advice and assistance to all investment teams.
Prior to joining Novo Holdings A/S, Barbara worked for ISS World Services A/S for three and a half years, where she was responsible for the legal aspects of the activities in the Europe region and for legal compliance and corporate governance group-wide. In addition, Barbara was part of the transaction teams on multiple M&A transactions across the world. Before that, Barbara worked as senior legal counsel for Genmab A/S, dealing with the company’s large partnership, in- and out-licensing and collaboration agreements. From 2011 to 2013 she worked for Genmab US, Inc. in New Jersey, US. During her earlier career she was employed as attorney-at-law at the law firm Plesner in Copenhagen, specialising in M&A and corporate law.
Barbara holds a Master in Law from the University of Copenhagen (1999) and is a member of the Danish Bar Association.

Head of Corporate M&A, Ørsted
Frederik Von Holten joined Corporate M&A at Ørsted in 2019 after a career in both Investment Banking and Private Equity, at all times focused on the energy sector. Since joining Ørsted, Frederik has transformed the Corporate M&A team and changed the focus from divestments to acquisitions while expanding the scope of responsibilities. As a result, today the responsibilities include M&A within offshore wind, onshore wind platforms, solar PV platforms, P2X / energy transition, large scale M&A, financing considerations and divestments on non-core assets to name a few. Recent transactions at Ørsted include: Board of Directors mandate to expand the share capital of Ørsted by up to 20%, acquisition of 45% stake in e-methanol project in Sweden, acquisition of Brookfield Renewable Ireland, divestment of Ørsted’s LNG business, carveout and divestment of Ørsted’s network and consumer businesses (Radius, B2C and City Light). Prior to joining Ørsted Frederik worked at Blue Water Energy, a Private Equity firm focused on energy transition, and PJT, an Investment Bank where Frederik was part of the energy team. Frederik holds a MSc in Finance and Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance from Copenhagen Business School

Rosie Corcoran began her career at Datasite in 2015 as an account manager in New York. Since then, she has progressed to become VP of Sales for the UK, Ireland, and Middle East, and now oversees the Nordic region as VP of Sales, where she recently led the expansion of the team and the opening of a new office in Stockholm to provide on-the-ground support to local customers.
She holds a B.S. in Foreign Service, International Business/Development from Georgetown University.
