Virtual briefing in partnership with Mergermarket, an Acuris company
India’s mergers & acquisitions market showed a strong rebound in 2021. Amidst the hardships of the second wave of Covid-19, Mergermarket reports dealmaking in Q1 generated 127 deals valued at US$25.07bn, while Q2 had 153 deals worth US$27.31bn.
This has come on the back of the highest volume of IPOs and VC investments that the country has seen in a decade. About USD 9.13bn has been raised from 39 IPOs so far in 2021, already surpassing full year 2020 when 18 listings raised around USD 7.54bn, according to Dealogic data.
