Restructure with Foresight: Middle East

Webinar in Partnership with Debtwire

DATE: Tuesday 25 May, 2021

TIME: 14:00 GST | 11:00 BST

The Central Bank of the UAE pre-empted another crisis last year by providing an USD 27bn stimulus package to soften the impact on banks from a sustained period of oil price volatility and the COVID-19 pandemic. Asset quality deterioration and the decline of some regional economies is expected to increase bad assets at UAE banks.

On 25 May, in partnership with Debtwire, we hosted a live webinar for the Emerging Markets Restructuring Series, covering the Middle East markets.

The live webinar focused on:

  • The health of the banking sector across the Middle East
  • Potential restructuring targets as stimulus plans by Government begin to end
  • Restructuring remotely and the role of technology, including lessons learned for distressed M&A deals and dealmakers
  • The changing NPL landscape and how technology can improve your position

Democratization of private equity
