New Feature: Q&A FAQ's and Improved Watermarking

By Stephan Millard, Product Marketing

We know managing a data room can be mind-numbing work.  Indexing documents, answering questions, updating your client and your boss.  Let Datasite make your world better.  We are continually working to improve Datasite Diligence for you.  In recent blog posts we have discussed some of the enhancements:

Now we have added other new capabilities.  The latest new features, focused on improving Q&A and document watermarking, will help you save time setting up and managing a deal.

Lets take a closer look:

Q&A FAQ’s

Improve the efficiency of managing Q&A while maintaining control of the deal.

How?

  • Simply go into Q&A
  • Click on FAQ tab
  • And start a new FAQ.  That’s it!

FAQ’s can really help manage the deal narrative at scale by answering questions many reviewers may have all at one time.  This can happen in an asset sale and is even more likely in a restructuring deal.

We’ve also added some other cool things to Q&A to make your job easier.   You can turn any existing question into an FAQ with a single click.  This is a time saver.  Now you can also export a filtered subset of all questions / answers, which can help your team focus on exactly the questions they need to keep the deal moving forward.

Improved Watermarking Capabilities

This enhancement provides you fine grained control over which project's documents are watermarked and which are not.  In addition, now you have more watermarking options – change the size or opacity of the watermark and choose if you want one watermark or many tiled watermarks on project documents.  These options are easy to set:

  • Go into the Setting tab
  • Select Watermark on the menu
  • Change the watermark setting for the project.  That’s it!

The ABCs of SPACs and de-SPAC’ed Entities

With the change in market conditions over the last year (increased inflation, interest rates etc.), there is concern that companies who went public via a SPAC in 2020 and 2021 will not be able to continue their business operations due to a lack of free cash flow or will face de-listing because their stock is not in compliance with the NYSE or NASDAQ requirements. These companies may need to explore alternative options, such as rescue capital raises, full company sale to a strategic, bankruptcy, and PE take-private options, etc.
