Global M&A markets, including EMEA, continue to be impacted by challenges this year. The result for Q3 2022: deal volume and value fell steeply in EMEA, with transaction volumes and values down by 36% and 35%, respectively, year on year - the lowest for two years and hovering just above levels prior to the pandemic.

Nevertheless, there were a few bright spots: energy, mining & utilities had an exceptional quarter in terms of value; DACH, France, and CEE & SEE saw increases in deal value from Q2 2022; and the UK & Ireland, CEE & SEE, and Turkey, Middle East & Africa are expected to see the most action going forward.
