Datasite is #1 on Selling Power's Annual ‘50 Best Companies to Sell For’ list
July 13, 2022 | Press Release
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – July 13, 2022 – Datasite®, a leading SaaS-based technology provider for global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) professionals, has been recognized as the premier company on Selling Power’s ‘Annual 50 Best Companies to Sell For’ list, moving up from second place in 2021, and marking the company’s sixth consecutive year on the list.
“Datasite has steadily improved its ranking over the last six years and to culminate with the top place on Selling Power’s list this year is extremely gratifying,” said Todd Albright, global chief revenue officer at Datasite. “We love delighting our customers. This accolade affirms the collaborative approach we take in fostering a culture that recruits and enables our talent to succeed, and—with the full support of our product, service, marketing, and shared service partners—creates value for our clients in achieving successful business outcomes.”
Selling Power reviewed four main criteria categories, including company overview; compensation and benefits; hiring, sales training and sales enablement; and diversity and inclusion, to assemble this year’s 50 Best list.
"As companies are facing economic headwinds, the best sales organizations are sharpening their focus on sales talent,” said Gerhard Gschwandtner, founder and CEO of Selling Power. “The Best Companies to Sell For have mastered the alignment of people, processes, and technologies and created a sales organization that excels in hiring, onboarding, training, and compensation of their sales representatives. These companies aim at a higher level of professionalism and trust, which in turn leads to increased sales and a lower turnover of the sales force."
Despite recent pressures from the global pandemic and volatile market conditions, Datasite has continued to grow over the last several years, increasing revenue by 37% and headcount by 22% between FY2021 to FY2022. Additionally, Datasite’s current net promoter score (NPS) of 75, or metric on whether its customers would recommend the company to others, is well above industry benchmarks.
Dealmakers in more than 170 countries make their deals in Datasite, including 74 of the top 100 legal firms and all the top 20 global financial advisory firms. In 2021, Datasite facilitated more than a third of the top 100 global deals, including a third of the top 61 US deals, and close to half of the top 25 EMEA deals.
Datasite has been recognized for numerous other awards in the last 12 months, including five Stevie® Awards for Outstanding Sales & Customer Service, Premier Sales Employer recognition by the Institute for Excellence in Sales, and a Gold Stevie Award for Senior Sales Executive of the year.
