M&A Healthcare Spotlight: 6 months later

Tony Crisman is a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare in the Investment Banking group. He has more than 20 years of experience executing over 100 successful M&A and capital-raising transactions for private equity, venture capital, publicly traded companies, and privately held and family-owned businesses operating in the healthcare industry.

Tony specializes in M&A for highly differentiated, outsourced pharmaceutical and laboratory services businesses and life science companies (diagnostics and research products), helping them understand ever-changing and converging dynamic end markets, identify potential growth opportunities, and create value through strategic positioning. His deep industry expertise and expansive network in outsourced pharmaceutical and laboratory services end markets and their supply chain (life science companies) provides unique insights for assisting middle-market growth companies with finding their maximum strategic value.

Prior to joining Stout, Tony was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare at Lincoln International. Prior to Lincoln International, Tony was a Vice President in the healthcare investment banking practice of GCA Savvian Advisors. Previously, he was at Vector Securities International and RBC Capital Markets (formerly Dain Rauscher Wessels) focused on healthcare investment banking.

Jay Liebowitz, Managing Director at Centerstone, leads the debt advisory and principal investing teams. He has over twenty years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as a Managing Director with Post Advisory, a multi-billion dollar high yield credit manager. Over the years, he has invested in and or advised on billions of dollars of transactions, including some of the largest leveraged transactions in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer wellness, and animal care.

Prior to Post, Jay was at Blackstone Credit (formerly GSO Capital Partners), where he was a principal focused on high- yield, distressed, and mezzanine investments across a variety of industries.

Prior to Blackstone, Jay worked as an associate at Black Canyon (an affiliate of Canyon Capital Advisors), where he analyzed and recommended various private debt and equity investments. He began his career as a financial analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette), where he focused on leveraged finance and restructuring transactions. Jay graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. Jay sits on the board of Access Youth Academy, a non-profit focused on urban youth.

A unique focus on corporate and healthcare law sets Christopher M. Olson apart and drives his efficient and client-oriented approach to executing transactions. With those transactional skills and his knowledge of corporate governance and regulations, Chris helps clients across the healthcare industry navigate regulatory compliance and transactional matters.

From nonprofit and for-profit health systems and hospitals, to laboratories, pharmacies, physician practice management platforms and physician groups, Chris focuses on meeting the needs of his clients. He guides them through all manner of complex mergers and acquisitions, strategic affiliations and challenging regulatory situations to successful resolutions.

In his pro bono practice, Chris represents clients through The Alliance for Children’s Rights guardianship and adoption program. Chris also has advised multiple nonprofit organizations regarding their internal privacy policies and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. He is also a member of McDermott’s recruiting committee.
