Definition:
Describing the presentation of financial information so that it more accurately reflects different aspects of a group structure. This is commonly seen in the Financial Statement(s) of issuers who have issued bonds (or other debt securities) that have been guaranteed by other members of the issuer’s group. The SEC has allowed this practice pursuant to Rule 3-10 of Regulation S-X.
