Debt Sweep
Definition:
A type of Mandatory Prepayment in a Credit Agreement. It requires that the loan be prepaid with the proceeds of particular debt issuances. Although there will be a Carve-Out of this in favor of the borrower, it is likely to be limited and heavily negotiated.
