In-the-Money

Definition:

Describes the situation where a Put Option or Call Option is worth money to an investor. For a Put Option (an option to sell), this will mean that the market price is below the Strike Price. For a Call Option (an option to buy), this will mean that the market price of the security is above the Strike Price.
