Option

Definition:

A contract that gives its holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell a security or asset at a specified price (known as the Strike Price or the exercise price) within a specified time frame. The right to buy is a Call Option and the right to sell is a Put Option. If the Option is a combination of both, it is called a straddle.
