Singapore Code of Corporate Governance

Definition:

The most recent iteration of the Code was issued in February 2018 and has been under the purview of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) since September 1, 2007.

Compliance with the Code is not mandatory but listed companies are required under the Singapore Exchange Listing Rules to disclose their corporate governance practices and give explanations for deviations from the Code in their Annual Reports.
