Definition:
A bond backed by a pool of assets, such as mortgage loans. Unlike Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs), the pool of assets remains on an issuer’s Balance Sheet. Upon Default under the bond, investors have recourse to both the pool of assets and the issuer.
